Triton Expands
EXB-PCM03 Future Loop Construction:
How to properly utilize it in the
Triton Rack.
For
use with a Triton or KARMA click here.
The reason PCM-03 differs from other PCM upgrade is because it has RPPR info... so when you load the
.PCG, as previously prescribed, you also
have to load the .SNG info at the same time:
1. Insert the EXBPCM03 disk.
2. Go to disk mode.
For this example, we'll use the C bank...
3. With the C_Bank.PCG highlighted, press the F8 Key ("Utility" on screen).
4. Press the cursor 2X to select "Load Selected".
5. Press the F8 Key ("OK" on screen). You'll now be on a new screen. This screen gives us the necessary choices.
6. Using the value dial, set the "Load C_bank.SNG too".
7. Press the cursor 2X to select "PCG Contents ALL"
8. Rotate the dial to select I-C. That's the C_Bank.PCG on the disk.
9. Press the > Cursor to highlight the "To" variable. This will be the destination bank of the load.
10. Select E-A for this example.
11. Press F8 to load.
Now, when you enter the Multi Mode, Check the "RPPR" box, and rock out. All of the banks and sounds line up, because an association was made when you
loaded the song and pcg data at the same time.
BUT... what happens when you shut the machine off and then go to load the SNG file again when you turn it back on for your next session??? I'll tell
you... the RPPR will play back using the INTERNAL banks... this is because the association was not made, since there's really no reason to load the
.PCG again... it's already there... so what do you do?
1. Load the "C_bank.SNG.
2. Enter the Global mode.
3. Press the F8 button to access "Utility" on the screen.
4. Press the cursor to highlight "Change All Bank Preferences".
5. Press the F8 button to indicate "OK". You will now see a screen where you can substitute banks for other banks.
6. Remember, we loaded the C_Bank into E-A, well here's where we'll make that association -- Highlight Bank "I-C -> I-C" and set it to I-C -> E-A"
7. Over on the right, there is a box marked "Multi". Highlight it and check
it using the value dial. This indicates that these bank preferences are for Multi only. This is important, because if you don't specify, you're
Combinations will get screwed up.
Now, when you go to Multi, everything will be O.K.
