VOX Python Strap

John Lennon used one of these straps on his Rickenbacker® 325 when he played the Ed Sullivan shows of February 1964 and then given to Eric Clapton whilst he was playing with Cream in 1967. This strap was put on the auction block at Sotheby's for $4,500 in recent years.

Reissued by Vox, the Python Strap features twenty five "armored" chrome plates riveted to a heavy leather strap. Vox has lengthened the strap so that when set at maximum length, it is slightly longer than 52" from end to end.

It sells for a lot less than $4,500.
