D1200 Jam Playing along with "Play the Blues"
Here is what I did to create the MP3 file.
1) I copied song # 2 "Play the Blues" to a new location (or I could have unlocked the demo). This way I always have the original tracks to use again.
2) I plugged my Gibson 335 into the guitar input on the front of the D1200
3) I hit the REMS modeling button and hit "ENTER". This opened the Insert Effect window and armed tracks 1 and 2 for immediate recording. I could now tweak the guitar effects (Drive, Tone & Cabinet) instantly with the three knobs on the D1200.
4) I then hit the REC (record) and PLAY buttons and recorded my part. I actually used virtual tracks 1B and 2B, keeping the original guitar tracks in tact.
5) I then followed the arrows on the front panel and went to the "BOUNCE" button and bounced the 12 recorded tracks down to two virtual tracks (12Tr-2Tr) with the mix I liked.
6) Next I Exported my two-track mix to the USB portion of the internal hard drive. Click here for step by step instructions.
7) I connected a USB cable to the D1200 and my desktop PC (running Windows XP) and copied the new file (WAV) to my computer.
I could have burned this file to a CD or posted it but WAV files are big so I changed it into an MP3 file. I use a program called Acoustica "MP3 to WAV Converter" but you can also use winamp (free)
I then posted the MP3 version here. |
